GambleID shares insight on it's new product, ARM, with SportsHandle
GambleID's Athlete Response Monitor elevates “fair play” in gaming.
In the fast-paced world of professional sports, the line between fair and foul play has always been delicate. Recently, the spotlight has shifted towards the rising concern of athletes engaging in illegal gambling activities, resulting in suspensions and tarnished reputations. But a groundbreaking solution is on its way—poised to change the game before a bet is even placed. GambleID, a trusted gambling compliance company with over two decades of experience, is launching its latest innovation—the Athlete Response Monitor (ARM).
GambleID has already distinguished itself by identifying and creating profiles for numerous professional athletes. Now, with ARM, they aim to prevent betting violations altogether. JD Garner, founder of GambleID, says, "Consumers of this are going to be people like the team, agents, the players themselves, and sportsbooks." The ARM product is currently being presented to major U.S. professional sports leagues, creating significant interest
The ARM program goes beyond traditional monitoring methods employed by competitors. GambleID collaborates with a sports data company to compile players, coaches, and associated personnel lists. Additionally, it uses readily available data from social media platforms to create comprehensive "spheres of influence" for each individual. By mapping connections to family members, former fraternity brothers, and college roommates, GambleID paints a detailed picture of the athlete's network.
"We look to see who is following them, follow backs, Facebook friends, who they made a shout out to,"
explains JD Garner, emphasizing the depth of their approach. GambleID is also partnering with the artificial intelligence company LEDR to implement cutting-edge technology, combining AI with facial recognition and other data to provide real-time betting information.
The ARM program extends beyond surveillance, including education as a critical component. Leagues and players' associations can delegate the responsibility of guiding athletes on acceptable boundaries to GambleID. Tres Garner, GambleID's Director of Communications, highlights this: "It's easy for team owners and leagues to say 'no' to players and personnel; we want to turn it around and make them be able to say yes."
GambleID's rules engine integrates regulations from every jurisdiction and league, enabling real-time surveillance of athletes. Instead of relying on sportsbooks to report suspicious activity, ARM allows leagues and teams to receive instant information. The goal is to identify potential gambling issues and intervene before they escalate.
"I want to be the Nielsen ratings for gaming. I want to know everything about them so I can develop products around that," says JD Garner, emphasizing the power of knowledge in combating gambling-related challenges in professional sports.
In a landscape where integrity is paramount, GambleID's Athlete Response Monitor signals a new era in sports betting compliance. It will elevate how leagues, teams, and athletes approach the delicate balance between competition and responsible behavior.
